Our client is recruiting a Financial Executive that thrives in a high-paced, deadline-driven environment which is a service department to the rest of the business. The Financial Executive will oversee all financial aspects of the organization, ensuring compliance with regulations, accuracy in financial reporting, and strategic financial planning. They will collaborate with various departments to analyze financial data, provide insights, and make recommendations to drive financial growth and stability. This position is for an experienced Finance Executive who will manage the Finance Team and report to the Chief Executive Officer.Responsibilities:Financial Planning and AnalysisDevelop and implement financial strategies to achieve organizational goals.Conduct financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting to guide decision-making processes.Evaluate financial performance and provide recommendations for improvement.Financial ReportingPrepare accurate and timely financial reports for management, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations.Review financial statements and reports to identify discrepancies and resolve issues.Risk ManagementIdentify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.Monitor market trends and economic indicators to anticipate potential risks.Establish internal controls to safeguard company assets and minimize risk exposure.Cash Flow ManagementManage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to support operational needs.Optimize cash management processes and investment strategies.Monitor and analyze cash flow projections to ensure financial stability.Strategic PlanningCollaborate with senior management to develop long-term financial goals and strategies.Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making.Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to assess potential impacts on financialperformance.Financial ComplianceEnsure compliance with tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.Coordinate audits and examinations by external auditors and regulatory agencies.Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.Team Leadership and DevelopmentLead and mentor finance team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.Provide guidance and support for professional development and skill enhancement.Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.Key Skills:Strong understanding of financial principles, practices, and regulations.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting tools.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.Demonstrated leadership ability and experience in team management.Commitment to integrity, ethics, and professionalism.Planning is essential for this role.Deadline driven.Process and system driven.High performance mind set.Solution Driven.Good team player and able to work within a team to deliver output.Lead and gain respect and prominence through actions and culture rather than by position.Operationally inclined.Agile Mind.In service to the rest of the business.Syspro (Preferable).EXCEL (advanced) and Microsoft suite.BI experience (Cognos, Power BI, ODBC).Hedging Forex (Accounting treatment and practical booking/redeeming/surrendering.Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Finance & Accounting.CA(SA) / GCMA or similar.10 years in a Finance position in Corporate.5 Years in financial leadership position with a successful track record preferably in a similar industry.
