Our client is seeking an analytical and experienced Tax Manager to join their accounting firm in Pietermaritzburg.Responsibilities
- Supervision and management of the tax supervisor and tax assistants
- Review of work submitted
- Delegation of work to subordinates
- Handling tax, VAT and PAYE audits
- Liaising with clients and SARS regarding the above-mentioned audit assessments
- Training tax assistants or article clerks when required
- Monthly billing
- Dealing with all tax-related queries that may arise
- Bachelor of Commerce Degree
- Postgraduate in taxation would be (Advantageous)
- Preferably post articles
- 2-3 years experience in a similar role
- Excellent computer skills (MS Excel, Word, and Outlook)
- Able to meet deadlines and be innovative in a highly pressurised environment
- Attention to detail and ability to compile and analyse reports
