Job SummaryA dynamic recycling and waste management company based in Germiston is looking to appoint a Junior Fleet Controller to support the efficient coordination of their vehicle fleet. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with strong organizational skills and a keen interest in logistics and transport operations.About the Role: The Junior Fleet Controller will assist in monitoring vehicle movements, scheduling maintenance, and ensuring compliance with operational procedures. You'll work closely with drivers, workshop staff, and management to help keep the fleet running smoothly and safely.Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Assist in daily planning and dispatching of vehicles
  • Monitor driver routes, fuel usage, and delivery schedules
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle servicing, licensing, and breakdowns
  • Support compliance with road safety and company policies
  • Communicate effectively with drivers and workshop teams
  • Report on fleet performance and assist with incident investigations
RequirementsKey Requirements Include:
  • Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent
  • 1-2 years' experience in a fleet/logistics or transport environment
  • Strong administrative and communication skills
  • Computer literacy (Excel, Outlook, fleet management systems)
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the role
