Job Summary Job Position: Exports Customs Controller Ref: 4661 Location: PE / Gqeberha Salary: R20 000 to R25 000 per month CTC commensurate with experience and qualification Email your updated CV to Qualifications / Requirements: • Matric essential • Certification in Customs Clearing and Forwarding (Logistics Diploma will be an advantage) • Extensive knowledge of the customs and excise requirements • Extensive computer and intermediate level Excel experience • Working knowledge of ShipShape • Solid Clearing and Forwarding Exports experience required • Sound knowledge of shipping documents and procedures required • Attention to detail and accuracy • Be able to deal with repetition and cope under stress / volumes and able to prioritize • Willing to work long hours in season • Own transport to work and back essential - no public transport • Willing to work overtime • Previous experience in processing customs entries • Knowledge of Customs and Excise requirements for movement of goods outside South Africa • Good mathematical and analytical skill sets. • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills with ability to assist with problem-solving and delivering on expectations • Working experience of 4 to 5 years in Operations through Export activities for medium / large business Key Performance Areas: • Entry management • Registration of shipments on Shipshape • Frame and EDI Bills of Entries (Export - Sea freight focused) to SARS within the prescribed period according to the SARS Act) • Submission of cargo dues via Shipshape or Ports On Line • Fluent in tariff heading determination • Processing of VOC's • Check the accuracy of source documents and information, double-checking data and a keen eye for picking up errors or potential errors • Processing of Certificate of Origins, EUR1, SADC and GSP certificates • Knowledge of break bulk and bulk shipments • Processing on landing delivery and forwarding orders • Submission of relevant documents to the shipping lines for final release and Navis update • Knowledge of Import / Export Control Act • Must be able to work within a team and, also work unsupervised • Staying abreast of industry changesOn Line PersonnelRecruiter
