SOS Childrens Villages is a social development organisation, focussing on the care, protection and development of children and youth who are orphaned or vulnerable. Our mission is to build families for children in need, help them to shape their own futures and share in the development of their communities.We are in the process of recruiting a Direct Dialogue coordinator to be based at our National Office in Woodmead.THE COORDINATOR WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
  • Managing and leading the F2F Teams as well as the relationships with external service providers.
  • To establish the F2F Team as a strategic income stream for committed giving.
  • Performing job tasks in accordance with the organisations guidelines and policies currently in effect, carrying out the reporting procedure in cooperation with the Fund Development team and other colleagues.
THE COORDINATOR WILL BE EXPECTED TO:
  • Assist with negotiation of agency contracts to best ensure that the interest of the organisation are preserved
  • Work with agency partners in the preparation of campaigns including providing high quality marketing material and fundraising training
  • Monitor and take appropriate action to influence, key campaign metrics including, but not limited to acquisition rates
  • Prepare reports and forecast for programmes
  • Track and present results, making recommendations based on detailed analysis
  • Prepare clawbacks and performance reports for external service providers and ensure that lessons are used to inform future campaign strategy
  • Assist with the financial budgets for the programme ensuring that programme costs and income are on target
  • Ensure that appropriate measures are in place to monitor and control the quality of donors signed
  • Full management of the F2F in-house Teams
  • Negotiate arrangements with malls, corporates, events and other locations for the in-house F2F Teams
Knowledge specific to the position:
  • Excellent negotiation skills, experience in negotiations and F2F sales
  • Solid knowledge of Fundraising and income streams
  • Fluent spoken and written English and other South African official languages

Qualifications:
  • Completed Matric Certificate
  • Tertiary education in a related field an advantage
  • 2-3 years of previous fundraising, marketing or sales experience (essential)
  • Previous experience of managing a team is essential for this role
  • Willingness to travel frequently and a valid drivers license/vehicle is a must
