Geographical area: Somerset-West, Cape TownThis role offers the successful candidate a unique opportunity to become involved in the full life cycle from conception to commissioning of large infrastructure. Although primarily office-based, you will make frequent site visits and enjoy an immense variety in your role that few other companies can offer, due to their unique portfolio of projects.Minimum qualifications and experience:
- BSc/BEng or MEng/MSc (Civil Engineering)
- Registration as a Professional Engineer
- 3+ years' experience in civil design and project environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and AutoCAD, and Revit is required.
- Experience in large-scale CSP and Molten Salt storage projects will be advantageous.
- Experience in the design and implementation of civil infrastructure related to PV projects will be advantageous
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation for civil project installations, construction projects, network, process control and data exchange related installations.
- Understanding of the relevant technical codes, regulations and standards relating to the development of renewable energy projects in Europe will be advantageous.
- Basic knowledge of PVSol, PVSyst, PVCase, and SAM will be advantageous
- A working knowledge of FIDIC contracts and management will be advantageous
- Experience with Primavera P6 and MS Project will be advantageous.
- Willingness to travel and spend time on site.
