The chosen candidate will hold the pivotal responsibility of planning, executing, and concluding projects in alignment with client specifications. The role will effectively cover assistance with business and project management.In this role, you'll play a crucial part in both business and project management endeavors. This involves procuring necessary resources and orchestrating the collaboration among team members, consultants, or contractors to achieve project goals as outlined. Additionally, the Project Manager will maintain direct communication with clients to ensure the fulfillment of project objectives.The Key responsibilities for this role are to:Directing and overseeing project development from inception to completionCollaborating with stakeholders to define project scope and deliverables.Creating comprehensive project plansEffectively communicating expectations to team members and stakeholdersEstimating resources, delegating tasks, and resolving conflicts within the teamManaging project timelines, tracking milestones, and providing progress reportsManaging changes in scopeMentoring team membersCultivating business relationships critical to project successConducting post-project evaluationDeveloping best practicesProactively involved in project acquisition, including submission of Expression of Interest (EOIs) and proposalsMaintaining internal contacts for skill sourcingOverseeing performance management of direct reportsContributing to continuous improvement of project execution and management processes.Recommended Qualifications, Skills, and ExperienceBachelor's Degree or equivalent diploma in Engineering or Project ManagementMinimum 5 years of experience in project management, encompassing all project development and execution aspectsProject Management certificationsProficiency in project management softwarePreferably PMP registration through PMIDemonstrated personnel management experience.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.Adaptable to shifting priorities and timelines with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Prompt and efficient response to project adjustmentsFlexibility during periods of changeEffective communication with team members and contractors from diverse backgroundsPersuasive, encouraging, and motivating demeanour.Ability to garner cooperation from various sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments.Skill in defusing tension within project teamsPolitical sensitivity to ensure project success.Strong written and oral communication skills in EnglishInterpersonal skillsProficiency in conducting project-related research.Aptitude for learning and applying new technologies.Effective prioritization and task execution in high-pressure environmentsCandidates should have the ambition to further their career development in built environment engineering.Closing date, Friday 26 April 2024How to ApplyAll applications must be submitted online.
