Exciting opportunity for a dynamic Building Administrator & Events Support in Umdloti!This role combines administration and event support, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and well-organized environment for students and campus activities.Key Responsibilities:
Building Administration:
  • Serve as the first point of contact for building-related inquiries, issues.
  • Monitor and maintain building cleanliness, safety, and functionality; report maintenance concerns as needed.
  • Oversee the opening/closing of the building and ensure daily operations run smoothly.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, access, and occupancy policies.
  • Events Support:
  • Assist the Events Planner with the setup, execution, and teardown of events and programs.
  • Prepare spaces with necessary materials, decorations, signage, and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot issues during events (e.g., technical problems, last-minute layout changes).
  • Welcome attendees and provide customer service during events as needed.
  • Support event promotion through on-site displays or distributing materials.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in facilities support, event coordination, or customer service.
  • Computer Literate
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Reliable and detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends during events.
