- Assist with receiving, checking and storing of inventory and deliveries.
- Prepare, check for accuracy and pack goods for dispatch and delivery.
- Load and offload goods and materials for deliveries/collections and installations.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages or discrepancies to the Supervisor.
- Participate in physical inventory counts and stock reconciliations.
- Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and general upkeep of the Warehouse, Workshop area and other related areas where necessary.
- Assist the Supervisor in the installation /servicing and or where necessary handle basic installations/servicing items yourself where applicable.
- Load/unload components/products onto trailer / trucks where applicable and ensure safe towing / delivery.
- Provide physical support during onsite installations (e.g. assembling, positioning, anchoring systems etc.)
- Assist in minor fabrication task and use of hand tools.
- Follow instructions to troubleshoot and resolve issues using applicable tools and guidance.
- Clean up worksites post-installation and assist in ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Support upkeep and basic maintenance of the company vehicle, tools and trailer.
- Accurately report work progress and inventory usage to the Supervisor using various communication methods.
- Follow instructions and workplans, ensuring all tasks are executed as directed.
- Adherence to Group Data Management Policy.
- Use of Microsoft Office 365 Suite for communication (e.g. written, verbal and video), if required
- Effective communication with various stakeholders through sharing/receiving applicable information/instructions through informal/formal meetings.
- Use of prescribed templates.
- Assist in completing delivery or installation documentation, check lists, or timesheets when applicable.
- Work with temporary staff members (where arranged) and assist with applicable documentation as required.
- Adherence to Company and statutory SHE Policies and regulations.
- Follow and apply all relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure SHE file or related documentation is accurately completed and submitted within prescribed deadline deadlines.
- Ensure correct PPE is worn and inspected as and when necessary.
- Report accidents/incidents to Supervisor immediately.
- Grade 12 Diploma will be essential.
- Technical or mechanical aptitude and experience using hand tools essential.
- Previous experience in the warehouse, marine industry/environment and or technical installations work will be highly beneficial.
- Comfortable working around and in water (any season of the year); must be a competent swimmer.
- Basic computer literacy will be essential.
- Proficiency in Business English will be beneficial
- Valid driver license (Code 08) and own reliable transport is essential. A Code EB drivers license (ability to tow a trailer) is preferred.
- Reliable and operational mobile phone.
- Forklift Operation Certification advantageous.
- Ability to stay calm under stressful situations.
