Junior Blockman/Butcher

• Assisting with cutting, trimming, deboning, and portioning various meat products.
• Ensuring meat is displayed attractively and correctly priced.
• Following hygiene, health, and safety standards at all times.
• Assisting with stock rotation, receiving deliveries, and checking quality of products.
• Maintaining cleanliness of work areas, tools, and equipment.
• Providing friendly and professional customer service when assisting clients with product selection.
• Learning and developing butchery skills under the guidance of senior blockmen/butchers.

• Previous experience in a butchery or meat-handling environment (advantageous but not always essential).
• Basic knowledge of meat types, cuts, and preparation methods.
• Strong attention to hygiene, safety, and detail.
• Good physical stamina (role involves standing for long periods and handling heavy products).
• Willingness to learn and grow in the trade.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
