Senior Contract Specialist - Comm & BBBEE

• Ensures medium value goods and services are procured at the lowest possible cost, which meet the needs of the business, while maintaining compliance to procurement and SHE policy and procedures.

• Drive the development and maintenance of the potential supplier database.
• Identification, evaluation and onboarding of new BWO/ BYO vendors for procurement opportunities identified.
• Liaise with personnel and suppliers in order to provide input in the development of SLA's with suppliers.
• Relationship building amongst the 7 communities within Empangeni and Koekenaap

• Compile tender documentation for contracts and projects.
• Commercial and financial evaluation of tenders.
• Negotiate tenders and assist with obtaining tenders from marketplace through marketing process.
• Compile contracts with service providers, evaluate and make recommendations regarding contract stipulations.
• Enforce contractual rights toward adhering to contract and legal requirements.

• Ensure all departmental activities and operations occur within the overall Commodity strategy requirements / stipulations.

• BCom Supply Chain/ BCom Law/ LLB or equivalent.
• NQF Level 7 (Mandatory)
• Driver’s License (Mandatory)

• Minimum 5 years’ Contract Management / Procurement/ Supply Chain (Mandatory)

• SAP (Mandatory)
• Computer Literacy (Mandatory)
