
SENIOR LOGISTICS PLANNER

- Lead and manage both Inbound Planning and Distribution Planning teams.
- Provide tactical direction and daily support to ensure cohesive planning operations across inbound and outbound flows.
- Drive standardization and best practices across both planning functions.
- Oversee inbound scheduling through the Opsi Tramm system, ensuring alignment with procurement, GRV processing, and storage capacity.
- Monitor inbound truck schedules, delivery adherence, and resolve supplier/transporter deviations.
- Ensure accurate and timely updates of daily inbound schedules across all facilities.
- Oversee the use of OPSI route planning software to design efficient primary and secondary distribution routes and retail deliveries.
- Ensure live monitoring of outbound deliveries, responding to deviations and adjusting routes dynamically.
- Align distribution plans with sales requirements and warehouse readiness.
- Consolidate and analyze data from both inbound and distribution functions.
- Generate and review reports on KPIs such as truck turnaround times, on-time delivery rates, supplier adherence, and route efficiency.
- Use performance data to provide recommendations and implement continuous improvements.
- Act as the primary link between procurement, warehouses, suppliers, transporters, and sales teams as well as system partners.
- Ensure clear communication of inbound schedules and distribution plans across the organization.
- Participate in management meetings and provide planning performance insights.
- Ensure both inbound and distribution planning comply with transportation, food safety, and regulatory standards.
- Promote safe operations and adherence to cold chain and road safety regulations.
- Oversee master data accuracy for both inbound and outbound systems.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in logistics planning, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of Opsi Tramm (inbound) and OPSI route planning (distribution) systems.
- Comprehensive understanding of Econofoods operations and interdepartmental influences.
- Knowledge of cold storage logistics, food safety standards, and road safety legislation.
