Valve Technician

Position Valve Technician (Instrument Tech Certified)Tasks include and not limited to:

Follow the standard Quality, Health, Safety & Environment requirements
Ensure the availability and use of correct PPE in the workshop and for onsite work
Maintenance, overhaul, inspection, calibration, and testing of industrial valves and related equipment both in Workshop and Onsite
Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements, including but not limited to ISO 9001:2015 quality management standards, OEM calibration procedures, Valve and instrumentation safety guidelines.
Disassembly of control valves and safety valves (PSV) conventional and pilot-operated
Detailed inspection and fault-finding
Cleaning, sandblasting, and component preparation
Lapping and reconditioning of valve seats and trims
Mechanical and instrumentation assembly
Calibration of DVC (Digital Valve Controller) units and other smart positioners
Full control valve functional testing and calibration using appropriate instrumentation
Hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure testing
Testing and setting of safety valves to required standards
Spray painting and final finishing
Visual inspection and damage/root cause analysis
Actuator (pneumatic, hydraulic, electric) overhaul and calibration
Packing of completed products
Completion of tracking sheets, calibration certificates, and work reports
Tagging and history record management
Receiving and dispatch of instrumentation and valve components
travel locally and internationally as required by clients
