Job Title: Payroll AdministratorLocation: Sandton, Gauteng, South AfricaWe are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Administrator to manage full payroll processes across multiple regions and entities. The role requires strong technical payroll expertise, compliance knowledge, and the ability to handle sensitive data with confidentiality.Key ResponsibilitiesAdminister and process monthly payrolls for Angola, Dubai (UAE), Nigeria, and three South African entities.Prepare monthly payroll packs and create payroll profiles for new employees.Compile and distribute accurate monthly payroll reports to management.Manage payroll terminations and ensure compliance with final settlements.Administer IRP5 submissions and year-end payroll reconciliations.File EMP201 returns accurately on the SARS eFiling system.Process UIF applications and ensure adherence to statutory requirements.Calculate and manage leave balances, ensuring accurate payroll integration.Process ad hoc EFT payments, such as maternity leave disbursements.Handle severance packages and obtain SARS tax directives for retrenchments.Administer employee debt acknowledgements and related payments.Manage medical aid and pension applications, terminations, and queries.Submit medical aid and pension invoices to Finance for monthly payments.Oversee employee benefits programs, ensuring accurate administration and query resolution.Administer Workman’s Compensation submissions and compliance.RequirementsPayroll Diploma or equivalent qualification (essential).Proven experience using Sage Payroll (VIP Premier) or Sage 300 and/or PaySpace.5+ years of payroll administration experience, preferably across multiple entities.Strong knowledge of South African payroll legislation (PAYE, UIF, SDL, COIDA, BCEA).Experience managing payroll for international regions (advantageous).Advanced Excel skills and full proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, and confidentiality.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
