- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Diploma in Warehouse and Distribution Management
- 5+ years experience in stock control and warehousing within a customer-focused environment
- Supervisory experience with a proven industry track record
- 2+ years forklift operation experience, including moving and handling fragile products
- Forklift driving skills, including pallet loading and stacking, and container loading
- Computer literacy essential proficient in SAGE, MS Word, Outlook, and Excel (Intermediate to Advanced)
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, including product handling, accurate record-keeping, planning, and problem-solving
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- High attention to detail
- Logical thinker with strong decision-making abilities
- Self-motivated and able to work under pressure and without supervision
- Complete the handshake procedure daily with the Production Controller and Warehouse Stock Controller to verify manufactured totals
- Plan and coordinate available warehouse space for incoming manufactured stock with the Warehouse Stock Controller
- Ensure safety standards are maintained during stock movement using forklifts and Bendi equipment
- Sort, organize, and store inventory in correct locations
- Update Forklift and Cleaning Registers regularly
- Maintain Forklift and Bendi license registers and ensure training is booked and completed timeously
- Assist auditors during year-end stock take and food safety audits
- Prepare DA32 documentation for each loaded truck
- Pick goods accurately according to Load Instructions
- Report concerns or issues promptly to the Warehouse Manager
- Monitor container loading to ensure compliance with standards and procedures
- Participate in weekly and monthly stock takes by physically counting stock
- Ensure stock data is accurate and updated on the system
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation and information flow
- Comply with company and statutory Health & Safety procedures, including cleaning of:
- Warehouse
- Under-canopy area
- Container loading bays (inside and outside)
- Warehouse holding area for manufactured SKUs
- Maintain excellent housekeeping standards, including cage and forklift use to clean elevated areas (e.g., cobwebs)
- Assist in audits and close out non-conformances
- Manage all finished goods transporters on-site to ensure compliance with HSHG policies
- Address warehouse and distribution complaints promptly and close out CAR documents with corrective actions
- Support hygiene management procedures through regular GEMBA walks
- Complete GEMBA Walk documentation
- Participate in Health & Safety meetings
- Assist with incident investigations and reconciliations
- Ensure a safe, clean, and organized working environment
- Monitor and report on truck schedules (daily, weekly, and monthly)
- Issue documentation for removal of excisable finished goods (e.g., Customs Authorization Letters)
- Review and sign off transport-related invoices for finished goods
- Provide stock status updates to internal and external stakeholders as needed
- Create purchase orders, follow through with receipts, and submit complete documentation to Finance
- Maintain accurate time and attendance records
- Supervise and coordinate both dry goods and finished goods teams as needed
- Assist with attendance tracking and provide accurate timesheets to HR by the required deadline
- 2-Shift cycle alternating every second week
