- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives
- Identify and source quality products from reliable suppliers
- Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences to identify opportunities for product assortment improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including merchandising, marketing, and operations to ensure seamless product availability and drive sales
- Monitor inventory levels and optimize stock levels to meet customer demand and minimize carrying costs
- Perform regular analysis of supplier performance and manage supplier relationships
- Stay updated with industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes that may impact procurement strategies
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- 6 to 8 years of experience either in retailing or clothing manufacturing as a buyer in Ladieswear, Menswear, Kidswear, Accessories or Footwear
- Proven track record of successfully sourcing and purchasing products
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Proficiency in MS Office and experience with procurement software
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
