Salary: Negotiable based on experiencePurpose of the RoleTo plan, execute, and manage the delivery of projects in the built environment, with a focus on operational compliance, profitability, and client satisfaction. The Senior Project Manager will oversee project planning, execution, budgeting, subcontractor coordination, and risk mitigation, while supporting sales initiatives and ensuring high standards of OSHEM (Occupational Safety, Health, Environment & Management) compliance.Key Performance Areas1. Project Planning and ResourcingReview and plan project proposals and resource requirementsCoordinate with internal teams and subcontractors to finalize deliverables and timeframesDevelop detailed project plans including materials, services, and human resources2. Project Execution and DeliveryLead delivery across all assigned projects, ensuring time, scope, and quality targets are metMonitor site progress, resolve delays, and supervise corrective actionsMaintain accurate project documentation, files, site notes, and client recordsOversee project handovers, testing, commissioning, and inspections (e.g., ASIB)3. Financial ManagementDevelop and manage project budgets in line with scope and work schedulesTrack project spend, time usage, and profitability; implement corrective actions when requiredPrepare and submit claims and payment valuations for invoicing and supplier payments4. OSHEM and ComplianceEnsure adherence to all site and safety compliance standardsConduct training for service providers on OSHEM protocolsMonitor and address non-compliance proactively5. Client Engagement & Sales SupportProvide technical support to the sales team during project scoping and proposalsIdentify upsell opportunities and assist with client engagement throughout the lifecycle6. ReportingProduce monthly and ad-hoc reports on project performance, financial tracking, subcontractor performance, and risk assessmentsMinimum RequirementsEducationNQF Level 6 qualification in Project Management within the built environment (Required)Equivalent experience may be considered in place of formal qualificationsExperience3-5 years experience in project management of built environment projects (Required)Experience in fire protection, wet services, or HVAC construction preferredResidential construction experience will not be consideredCore CompetenciesLeadership CompetenciesOperational PlanningInfluencing and collaboration across departmentsFunctional CompetenciesProject ManagementBudgeting & Financial OversightRisk and Quality ManagementContract AdministrationService Provider ManagementWritten and Verbal CommunicationStrong Planning and Organizational Skills
