• Responsible for managing a small portfolio alongside supporting the Buyer on administrative work.
• Work with a buyer in nurturing and procuring relationships with merchants, both local and international brands.
• Identify new and on trend businesses and products for your portfolio.
• Supplier relations - maintain and build key accounts with merchants.
• Trend forecasting and analysis.
• Develop, execute and monitor merchandise strategy.
• Work alongside planning to establish buying plans and strategies that will maximize sales margin and profit.
• Conduct monthly comp shops and apply learnings.
• Analyze product performance and react to trading conditions.
• Timely placement and delivery of purchase orders.
• Complete spreadsheets accurately and gather all required product data.
• Administrative tasks around buying and uploading product data onto our system.

• Tertiary degree, diploma or certificate is advantageous
• 2 years' experience as a buyer or assistant buyer
• A master negotiator
