- Lead the financial management of assigned projects ensuring donor compliance.
- Cash flow forecast management, including anticipating and planning for cash requirements based on project timelines.
- Coordinate fund requests to ensure the firms capacity for supporting project operations and disbursing grants.
- Ensure all (small and large scale) project invoicing and financial requirements are met on time.
- Assist in identifying and assessing project risks, developing mitigation strategies, and implementing risk management plans.
- Support with partner/sub-grantee risk assessments.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to driving efficiency in project delivery and financial operations.
- Follow up on implementation of project audit recommendations.
- Pipeline tracking for project resource allocation.
- Implement tools and systems to facilitate efficient task management and tracking for project accountants.
- All other duties as assigned .
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5 years minimum proven experience as Junior Financial Project Manager or a similar role, USAID experience required and Foundations experience is a plus.
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to plan, organise, and prioritise tasks effectively, while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, evaluate options, and implement effective solutions.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- Proficiency in financial software and project management tools. (Sage packages are a plus)
- High proficiency MS Excel
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to thrive in the complex environment of project management
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
