- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for a portfolio of UK-based clients
- Process and manage payroll across multiple accounts, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations
- Prepare and reconcile monthly accounts using QuickBooks, Xero, and Excel
- Assist in client financial due diligence and data preparation for mergers and acquisitions
- Collaborate with accountants and advisors on tax filings, management accounts, and year-end reporting
- Track workflows and deadlines using Karbon (or similar project management tools)
- Prepare financial summaries and reports for client meetings
- Provide day-to-day bookkeeping support and respond to client queries
- Ensure compliance with internal processes and external financial regulations
- 3+ years of experience in a bookkeeping role (preferably within an accountancy practice)
- Strong working knowledge of UK payroll processes and legislation
- Exposure to M&A transactions or experience supporting financial due diligence (advantageous)
- Proficient in QuickBooks, Xero, and Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with Karbon or similar workflow/project management tools
- High level of accuracy, organisation, and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple client accounts remotely
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, client-first mindset
