- A Tertiary Commercial Qualification at NQF level 7.
- BSC Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Statistics or relevant financial degree (Bcom, CA).
- A minimum of 3 years relevant Healthcare experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to identify trends in a logical, systemic way.
- Good communication skills.
- A team player who can work alone when required and without supervision.
- Proven experience in successfully managing multiple projects.
- Ability to work under pressure and at fast pace.
- Ability to understand the urgency of various tasks, with ability to prioritise.
- High level of attention to detail, resilience, enthusiasm and drive.
- Ethical and able to maintain confidentiality.
- Healthcare is experience will be preferred.
- Advanced computer proficiency (MS Office).
- Advance knowledge of spreadsheets, databases, statistical analysis programs
- SQL experience.
- Knowledge of business intelligence tools.
- Oral and written communication skills when preparing reports and giving presentations.
- Self-starter.
- High-level actuarial calculations and data analysis to drive company key strategic initiatives.
- Use standard tools to compile and analyse data, predicting future performance and performing risk analysis to identify variances and trends.
- Develop reporting tools to assist with ad-hoc reporting in terms of management requirements.
- Provide input on funder product development, partnerships, and event cost analysis.
- Understand hospital pricing and tariffs
- Experience with Alternative Reimbursement Models (ARMs).
- Develop and produce regular reports to monitor business effectiveness
- Develop specific models and tools that allow the company to properly evaluate potential gains and losses of proposed business plans and processes.
- Present data and findings in an understandable way such that it provides actionable insights for business users and medical schemes.
