Are you a Java Developer with a proven track record in developing Point of Sale (POS) solutions for large retail environments? If yes, wed love to hear from you!Duties:· Develop, prototype, and implement Java-based POS solutions tailored for enterprise-scale retailers· Design, develop, and integrate UI components using Swing, HTML5, CSS· Integrate third-party systems and hardware (e.g., card terminals, fingerprint sensors, POS printers)· Work closely with SAP technologies, including idocs and other integration points· Create and maintain clear, technical documentation (UML, SDKs, Wiki, etc.)· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, customers, and subcontractors· Develop reports using Jasper Reports and iText· Contribute to design, architecture, and process improvements within the POS frameworkSkills:· 5+ years experience in Java POS development, ideally within large retail organizations· 5+ years Java enterprise development experience· Solid understanding of SAP Retail solutions and integration (idocs, RFC, etc.)· Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, SQL· Experience using Eclipse, Spring, GWT, SVN, JUnit, and WebservicesHands-on experience with Oracle and/or SQL Server· Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal· Strong business acumen and ability to engage with senior stakeholders· Bachelors degree in Information Science, Computer Science, or equivalent· Ability to work in matrix teams and international project environmentsShould you meet the requirements for this position, please email your CV to it.vacancy@stand-outstaffing.co.za.
