ABOUT THE ROLE / PURPOSE OF THE JOBAccountable for first line leadership and management of team members to enable the work of self and team members and building their expertise and skills, and deliver frontline team results such as Safety, Production, Maintenance, Quality, Cost and Motivation.FUNCTIONAL OUTPUTSPlanning, control and management of operations/maintenance activity
Ensure effective execution of operations/maintenance activities
Ensure maximum task quality and efficiency, and overall effective use of equipment
Manage and control costs (where allocated budget responsibility is assigned)
During emergency situations, evaluate the abnormalities and take corrective action as to avoid downtime, equipment damage and/or SHERQ incidents
Ensure own team adhere to operational/maintenance procedures and for people and plant
Ensure maintenance planning is scheduled optimally to maximize production output
Understand and know the legal requirements on a conveyor belt system
Have an understanding on the operation and maintenance of conveyor belt systems
Relationships, teamwork and collaborationJOB REQUIREMENTS:Qualifications:Grade 12/N3 with Mathematics, Science, English
Electro-Mechanic Trade Test Certificate
