Position Overview The purpose of the position is to supervise all branch activities, ensuring that the team functions effectively resulting in high levels of customer service being delivered and enabling achievement of relevant targets and customer service metrics.
Specific Role ResponsibilitiesJob Outputs:
- Plan, organize, coordinate, and supervise all branch activities.
- Ensure that telephones are manned, answering calls, assisting with queries, and making reservations as required.
- Management of shift handover and daily reports.
- Cash management and banking.
- Supervising office and car park, manpower deployment within the branch, and support environments.
- Manage risk by ensuring that company assets and resources are always safeguarded.
- Ensure correct fleet mix based on customer demand.
- Oversee housekeeping and cleanliness of the branch and operating environment.
- Document management
- Supervision and development of staff including training, coaching, and counseling.
- Leading by example and motivating staff to deliver a world-class service to all customers, using every opportunity to sell to customers by turning inquiries into rentals.
- Authorize leave, overtime, walk-ups, and timekeeping of team members.
- Schedule and hold monthly team meetings and information sessions.
- General office, administration, and car park duties completed daily.
- Ensure the branch is Compliant and clear all Compliance reports and deadlines timeously
- Health and safety experience - monthly reports to be done
- 2 years of supervisory / team lead experience in a similar environment. Car rental experience is preferred and highly desired.
- Matric or equivalent NQF level 4 qualification.
- Business Management or other relevant tertiary qualification.
- Valid unendorsed drivers’ license.
- Own, reliable transport – an advantage.
- Competent using MS Excel and MS Outlook.
- Working knowledge of Basic Conditions of Employment Act (RSA positions) or relevant basic conditions of employment legislation (Namibia, Botswana, Swaziland positions).
