Closing Date: 2024-05-12Job Type: ContractJob Level: SkilledExperience: Between 3 - 5 YearsEE/AA: NoSummaryOur client in Pretoria is recruiting for SAP Data Engineer (Focus: SAP BW) (Advanced) to join their teamDescriptionYou will be responsible for the coordination of the technical implementationAttend workshops and meetings to obtain business requirements (leading and facilitating when required)Create System Proposals/Functional designs based on the business requirementsReview development requests and release plans to determine and resolve any conflicts between current and proposed functionalityCollaborate with Super Users and colleagues across multiple sites/locationsConfigure and deliver SAP solutions including end-user documentation, processes, and training as required by the ProjectProvide 3rd level support as and when requiredWork from functional/business requirements to design and develop data sources (activate standard data sources, enhance existing data sources and create custom data sources)Technically Develop Customer Specific Solutions, with adaptability, portability, and re-usabilityWork from functional/business specifications to develop BW reports primarily using BEXWork with the SAP BW team to meet reporting requirements and test the project deliverablesDocument test plans and complete Unit Testing of developed objects and reportsMinimum RequirementsQualifications/Experience:IT Degree and / or relevant qualificationsDevOps (operations, configuration/development) experience in commercial and/or retail end user IT applicationsAutomotive or similar manufacturing experience is advantageousEssential Skills Requirements:Understand the relevant Aftersales business processes: Logistics, Sales, Warehouse and Extended Warehouse ManagementSAP Analytics CloudEclipseSAP BW 7.5 Data Modelling and BEX skills essentialSAP ABAP, AMDP competence essentialSAP BO experience (AFO & WEBI) essentialModules – SAP BW SAP BOITSMAgile Working ModelAgile Tool Chain – Jira, Confluence, YPA, X-rayAdvantageous Skills Requirements:Problem solving capabilitiesAbility to work as part of a teamAbility to work interdependently as well as independently and to submit deliverables on time and with excellent qualityExcellent interpersonal and organisational skills with the ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and in writing) with both technical and non-technical colleagues / usersStrong ability to understand and interpret business needs and requirements with an aptitude to move concepts through to proposal and successful implementationStrong presentation skillsAbove-board work ethicsFlexibility to take up different tasks in the projectAbility and willingness to coach and give training to fellow colleagues and users when required.
