We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Supply Chain Analyst to support our South Africa operations. This role will primarily focus on strengthening two core areas of the supply chain: inventory management and demand planning. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, systems-savvy, and eager to drive improvements in planning accuracy, inventory control, and stock flow visibility across the supply chain.Key Responsibilities
1. Inventory Management
- Monitor and control inventory levels across multiple warehouse locations
- Conduct regular inventory analysis to identify excess, slow-moving, or obsolete stock.
- Collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure accurate stock counts and proper stock rotation.
- Drive inventory optimization initiatives and improve visibility through reporting and KPIs.
- Support the development and rollout of cycle count procedures, stock take coordination, and reconciliation processes.
- Work closely with master data and finance teams to ensure accurate valuation and categorization of inventory.
- Lead the monthly demand planning cycle using system tools (e.g., SAP IBP).
- Consolidate input from sales, marketing, and finance to generate a consensus forecast.
- Track and improve forecast accuracy by analyzing deviations and root causes.
- Coordinate with supply and global planning teams to ensure timely replenishment aligned with stock strategies (e.g., 12-week supply).
- Manage data flows and assumptions within the IBP tool, including forecast uploads and adjustments.
- Collaborate with regional and global teams to support lifecycle planning, new product introductions, and rationalization decisions.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly analytical, and comfortable working in cross-functional environments. They should have strong technical skills in forecasting, inventory control, and ERP systems, with a passion for continuous improvement.Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 5-8 years’ experience in demand planning, inventory control, or supply chain analysis.
- Familiarity with SAP and demand planning tools (e.g., SAP IBP). - Excellent Excel skills (including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and data modeling).
- Strong communication, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Prior experience with forecasting, stock optimization, and planning cycle management.
