The SGD Design and Development Core group has a requirement for a senior electronic developer or engineer to develop Electronic Warfare (EW) controllers and related equipment.Your roleThe general responsibility is to design, develop, integrate, industrialize and provide technical support through the life cycle of the productsThis position has an electronics hardware focus, especially with respect to providing technical design skills at an LRU level, working with the LRU Technical Design Authority and the SRU design engineers.Create and maintain development documentation according to the hardware development processInterface with project management team and provide feedback on progress and scheduleYour profileKnowledge and Skills Required:Minimum of 8 Years’ experience in a multi-disciplinary engineering R&D and product development environmentGood understanding of the product development processAble to articulate requirementsGenerating and compiling of specifications (Specification practices)Experience with Verification and ValidationAble to guide development aspectsKnowledge of development processes and associated development integration and testingKnowledge of configuration and qualification processesDesired Skills:Electronic Warfare design knowledge and experience.Controller design knowledge and experience.Aircraft interface knowledge.Good understanding of system engineering principles and practicesRTCA DO-254 or RTCA DO-178 or ARP4754Qualification:B.Eng or suitable technical qualification coupled with a solid track record of electronic designWhat you will be a part ofSaab is a global company with operations and employees in 40 countries around the world.
