This leadership role places you at the heart of the hospital's Emergency Department, where your clinical expertise and managerial acumen will guide operations, elevate care standards, and develop future nursing leaders. You will ensure the department runs smoothly, resources are optimally managed, and patients receive the highest level of care.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the Emergency Department team, ensuring optimal staffing and resource allocationMaintain operational readiness in treatment, triage, and resuscitation areasOversee departmental budgets, audits, and quality improvement initiativesMentor and develop nursing staff, fostering professional growth and excellenceBuild strong relationships with doctors, patients, and multidisciplinary teamsUphold and enforce infection prevention and control protocolsDrive problem-solving initiatives and implement effective operational solutionsAbout YouRegistered Nurse with the South African Nursing CouncilPost-basic qualification in Emergency NursingMinimum of 3 years in a nursing management position (private hospital experience advantageous)Proven leadership and mentoring skillsStrong critical thinking and decision-making abilities under pressureExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsSkilled in budget and resource managementResilient and adaptable in high-pressure situationsCommitment to continuous quality improvement and patient care excellence
