We seek an experienced and qualified half-day Driver. The incumbent will be responsible for transporting of residents to outings, general driver duties for the Group and represent the company in a professional manner with employees and residents.Duties include but are not limited to the following:TRANSPORTING RESIDENTS AND DRIVINGDriving for the village and transporting residents on trips.
Be available on ad hoc basis for resident trips after hours and over weekendsADMINISTRATION AND REPORTINGAssist Admin Officer with sorting of newspapers and other post (notices) to be put in the post boxes
Complete driving logs and other reports as requested by managerSAFEKEEPING OF COMPANY VEHICLEDo daily checks on the vehicle to ensure it is clean, tyres are in good order, enough oil and no scratches and dents. Report any anomalies to the manager
Abide by all traffic laws when driving the vehicle
Take care of the vehicle whilst driving and parking
Park bus in the allocated parking bay when not in use and when on breaksWorking Hours:Normal working days will be Mondays to Fridays from 08h00 until 13h00 and every second Saturday from 08h00 until 13h00. The incumbent would need to be flexible as he/she may be required to work a full day during the week when needed.
Requirements
Experience: Relevant driving experience with passengers with Code 08 license.Skills and Knowledge: Good communication skills; safety orientatedAttributes: Professional; presentable; courteous; loyal and diligent; patience and the ability to work with the elderlySpecific Requirements:Code C08 with PDP
