TO QUALIFY TO JOIN OUR SCHOOL TEAM AS A HISTORY TEACHER YOU WOULD:

Have a minimum of 5 years' experience teaching History (Grades 8 to 12) in a similar school environment to St John's D.S.G., preferably with IEB experience and conversant in IEB SAGS and CAPS.
Have a Bachelor of Education, or a similar 4-year Senior / FET qualification in History, with PGCE
Have experience with teaching other subjects (preferable)
Have extra-mural coaching or managing experience (advantageous)
Be willing to do support classes after school where required.
Be warm, engaging, resilient, honest, genuine, empathetic and kind.
Have excellent teamwork, communication and collaboration skills.
Have strong values that align to the Christian ethos of the school.
Have a high level of computer competency and be willing to learn new systems.
Have a clear criminal clearance certificate.
Be SACE registered.
