This is a strategic leadership position where you'll oversee critical IT infrastructure while building and mentoring a high-performing support team.As the IT Infrastructure Manager, you'll be the cornerstone of the technology operations, responsible for maintaining 99%+ uptime across all systems while driving continuous improvement initiatives. - Lead and develop a skilled IT Service Desk team of 5 professionals
- Provide mentorship, training, and career development opportunities
- Set performance objectives and conduct regular team reviews
- Foster a customer-centric culture focused on service excellence
- Oversee Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and Exchange systems
- Manage network infrastructure including Fortigate firewalls, Netgear and Unifi switches
- Administer Microsoft Office 365 and cloud-based services
- Implement and maintain robust backup solutions using Veeam and similar technologies
- Establish and monitor SLA criteria for infrastructure availability and performance
- Implement ITIL best practices across Incident, Problem, and Change Management
- Act as escalation point for complex technical issues and service disruptions
- Conduct regular disaster recovery testing and business continuity planning
- Design and implement resilient infrastructure solutions to minimise downtime
- Plan and execute hardware/software upgrades and refresh cycles
- Manage relationships with third-party service providers and vendors
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
- Education: Degree or relevant IT certifications
- Certifications: MCSE + Security, Fortinet Certified Professional
- Experience: Minimum 5 years managing similar-sized technical teams
- Leadership: Proven track record of developing high-performing IT teams
- ITIL Knowledge: Deep understanding and practical application of ITIL frameworks
- Windows Infrastructure: Advanced knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory design and security
- Networking: Expert-level understanding of networking technologies, firewalls, and load balancers
- Cloud Technologies: Hands-on experience with Office 365 and hybrid cloud environments
- Virtualisation: Solid experience with Hyper-V and virtualised environments
- Security: Strong background in IT security and data protection compliance
- ITIL Service Delivery Manager certification
- PowerShell scripting capabilities
- SharePoint administration experience
- Linux server knowledge
