Job Description:Position objective.This position assumes responsibility for the selling of temperature instruments and related products and services primarily to existing customers.Main responsibilities
  • Researching and understanding the products and services offered by the business.
  • Keeping up to date with competitor offerings and pricing
  • Identifying and pursuing sales opportunities
  • Answering incoming calls and e-mails to the business
  • Attending to customers’ questions
  • Quoting customers
  • Following up on important quotations
  • Capturing customer orders received
  • Actioning of customer orders received
  • Procurement of traded products for customer orders received
  • Liaising with production on the status and delivery dates for production orders
  • Monitoring and updating expected delivery dates of customer orders and updating customers
  • Arranging for delivery or collection of customer orders
  • Reporting on sales and profitability per customer and sales targets
  • Arranging of marketing materials within approved budgets
Requirements
  • N6 or higher diploma in industrial instrumentation or a related field
  • Excellent communication in both verbal and written format
  • Organisational skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Familiar with the use of the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Marketing qualifications or experience will be beneficial
