- Researching and understanding the products and services offered by the business.
- Keeping up to date with competitor offerings and pricing
- Identifying and pursuing sales opportunities
- Answering incoming calls and e-mails to the business
- Attending to customers’ questions
- Quoting customers
- Following up on important quotations
- Capturing customer orders received
- Actioning of customer orders received
- Procurement of traded products for customer orders received
- Liaising with production on the status and delivery dates for production orders
- Monitoring and updating expected delivery dates of customer orders and updating customers
- Arranging for delivery or collection of customer orders
- Reporting on sales and profitability per customer and sales targets
- Arranging of marketing materials within approved budgets
- N6 or higher diploma in industrial instrumentation or a related field
- Excellent communication in both verbal and written format
- Organisational skills and the ability to multi-task
- Familiar with the use of the Microsoft Office Suite
- Marketing qualifications or experience will be beneficial
