My client, based in the heart of the Southern Suburbs, is looking for a Junior Accountant who’s ready to dive into the detail, handle high volumes like a pro, and bring serious accuracy to the table. If you love numbers, live for deadlines, and feel most at home in Excel – this is where your next big move begins.As the Junior Accountant, your duties include the following:
Process and capture high volumes of financial transactions accurately and timeously
Reconcile bank statements, accounts, and supplier/vendor statements regularly
Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports
Maintain and update the general ledger
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of accounts and transactions
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
Prepare and process journal entries and ensure correct allocations
Support month-end and year-end closing processes
Ensure all financial data is accurate, up-to-date, and audit-ready
Assist with VAT, tax, and statutory submissions
Work closely with senior finance team members to support ongoing projects and reporting
Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls
Continuously identify and suggest process improvements
Respond to internal and external finance-related queries timeouslySkills & Experience:
5 Years of experience in a Junior Finance or Accounting role
Strong technical understanding of accounting principles
Proven experience working on Sage and Excel
Keen eye for detailQualification:
Completed Finance Diploma or Degree
