Job SummaryOur Blackheath (Cape Town) based client has been manufacturing since 1904 and is looking for a Draughtsperson Programmer with 5+ years' experience with light steel metals (stainless steel, aluminium and alusteel) to generate technical drawings for both internal and external use, program robotic machines, draw up and maintain ISO polices, etc. using MS Suite and SolidWorks.Applications close on 02/09/25.Requirements:
  • Draughting Diploma
  • 5+ years' experience in a Technical Drawing office (light steel metal fabrication)
  • Sound knowledge of stainless steel, aluminium and Alusteel
  • Excellent written & verbal business English
  • Pay attention to detail
  • Sound admin, time management, planning, organising and controlling skills
  • Able to delegate
  • Supervisory skills
  • Computer literate: MS Suite and SolidWorks

Responsibilities:
  • Technical drawings for internal manufacturing and external suppliers
  • Technical system management
  • Programming, nesting and operation of robotic machines
  • Flat patterns for productions
  • Tool design
  • Design and develop new products and equipment (R & D)
  • Assist sales and clients with equipment information and details
  • Maintain and create equipment manuals, brochures, etc.
  • Assist production with development and engineering concepts
  • Assist with creating and implementing ISO policies and procedures
  • Create and prepare reports and presentations for technicians and management
