- Deal sourcing - proactively identify investment partners and opportunities
- Deal screening - desktop analysis of investment opportunities
- Preparation of preliminary scoping reports
- Lead the transaction team through the whole investment process
- Conduct and coordinate due diligence on potential investment opportunities
- Participate in structuring and pricing of transactions
- Participate in negotiation of term sheets
- Preparation of appraisal reports
- Review and comment on transaction agreements
- Participate in the implementation and disbursement process
- Lead the handover of approved transactions to various divisions including portfolio management
- Ongoing monitoring of a portfolio of funds, including review of quarterly reports, valuation, risk management, compliance, and reporting
- Participate in the exit process for transactions
- Relevant postgraduate qualifcation or relevant NQF 8 equivalent qualification
- Masters degree, MBA, etc, CFA or CA(SA) would be advantageous
- 8 - 10 years' experience in investment industry. Fund of Funds or Multi-Management: Private Markets experience would be advantageous
- Previous transaction experience
- Private equity industry knowledge
- FAIS RE 05 Certificate or must be obtained within 6 months of employment
