Job SummaryJob PurposeThe CFO is responsible for the strategic financial leadership of the organisation, ensuring sound financial management, compliance, and sustainable growth. This role oversees all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, risk management, and capital planning, while aligning financial strategies with business objectives.Key Responsibilities Include:Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's long-term goals.
  • Advise the CEO and Board on financial planning, risk, and investment decisions.
  • Lead financial due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships.
Financial Management
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
  • Ensure compliance with South African financial regulations, tax laws, and IFRS.
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury functions.
Risk & Governance
  • Implement robust internal controls and risk management frameworks.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate governance standards and ethical practices.
  • Liaise with auditors, regulators, and financial institutions.
Team & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Communicate financial insights to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Build relationships with investors, banks, and external partners.
Technology & Innovation
  • Drive digital transformation in finance through automation and analytics.
  • Evaluate and implement financial systems and ERP solutions.
RequirementsQualifications & Experience Include:
  • CA(SA), CIMA, or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in senior financial leadership roles.
  • Proven track record in strategic financial planning and execution.
  • Experience in South African regulatory and tax environments.
