Duties include:Â
  • Manage a team of accountants responsible for the accurate preparation of financial records and statements
  • Ensure Bank Reconciliations are accurate
  • Ensure that Creditor Reconciliations are captured and accurate
  • Ensure accuracy of Cashbook, Debtors invoicing, Supplier capturing
  • Determine Month End Accruals and post to GL
  • Ensure Payroll Journals are posted correctly
  • Calculating Monthly Provisions
  • Prepare Group Reports are prepared on time and accurately
  • Prepare Monthly Management Accounts
  • Prepare various monthly Income Statement and Balance Sheet Schedules and Reconciliations
  • Maintain Fixed Asset Register, Capex in Progress and associated Tax Registers
  • Prepare and distribute month end report packs (Income Statement, Variance Report, Cashflow Forecast)
  • Preparation of cash flow forecasts
  • Preparation of annual budgets and report monthly on variances
  • Confirm Inter Company Loan Account BalancesÂ
  • Load EFT payments
  • Oversight of Debtors, Review Age Analysis (Customers & Drivers)
  • Provide support for Debtor Collections
  • Enforce Debtor Policy
  • Petty Cash handling
  • Ensure that accurate processing of Year End Adjustments
  • Oversee Closure of Year End Financials
  • Calculation of Tax Provisions
  • Prepare Audit Files & assist with yearend audi
Taxes
  • Maintain Tax Records and Schedules
  • Compilation and Submission of Tax Forms (Income Tax, Vat, EMP)
  • Oversee Complete tax returns
  • Submission of Vat ReturnsÂ
  • EMP 501 recon submission
