- Provide strategic growth and direction for the division.
- Effectively manage and review projects using the organisation’s methodology and principles ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and against our quality standards.
- Act as a key accounts manager for designated clients through regular meetings, networking, and fulfilling a project sponsor role.
- Provide project reporting and analytics to relevant stakeholders on the division’s progress.
- Effective financial management of the division’s operations, this includes budgeting, forecasting, analysis etc.
- Effective people management this includes, development, recruitment, coaching and mentoring, succession planning and performance management.
- Ensure implementation, effectiveness and relevance of quality management system for the division.
- Grow our market share through upselling and cross-selling the organisation’s services to new and existing clients.
- Build and maintain relationship with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure implementation, effectiveness and relevance of quality management system for the division.
- Management of workload schedules for the division thereby ensuring effective workforce planning can be undertaken.
- Research new technological and legal developments and trends and communicate this to relevant stakeholders.
- Manage the development, growth and technical output of the groundwater, modelling, geophysics, geochemistry, and surface water units.
- Provide specialist studies that integrate into the EIA process as well as standalone specialist products.
- Good leadership acumen, to mentor and develop employees.
- Applicable country legislation and international standards relating to Environmental, Mining and Water.
- Financial management principles and awareness.
- Project management, ability to manage projects in accordance with scope, budget and timelines.
- Interpersonal skills (i.e., be approachable, patient, etc.).
- Strong business acumen.
- Communication, both verbal and written.
- Report writing, with the ability to communicate to all stakeholders.
- Client centric and ability to sell services.

- 10 years or more in the relevant field, preferably within consulting would be beneficial.
- At least 10 years conducting specialist water studies.
- At least five years exposure to the mining industry.
- Five or more years’ management experience, as well as experience leading teams of 5+ staff. Experience managing managers would be beneficial.
