Duties & ResponsibilitiesTo provide Managerial, Engineering and Strategic Support and manage integrated FM solutions at the IALCH site with regard to:
- To be responsible for occupational health and safety in all matters pertaining to the use of machinery and assets.
- To meet the statutory engineering requirements and compliance at all times and take responsibility for the implementation of the relevant statutory duties.
- To ensure that the legal requirements in respect of machinery are complied with especially towards the correct use, maintenance, safeguarding, inspection and testing.
- To ensure that all incidents relating to machinery are reported and investigated in the correct way.
- Manage Key Customer Relationships
- Manage Service Delivery in terms of SLA effectively
- Manage Commercial and Financial targets effectively
- Manage Change and Continues improvement effectively.
- Manage OHS & E Compliance effectively.
- Provide Engineering support in KwaZulu – Natal
- Provide OHS & E support in KwaZulu – Natal

- Sound knowledge of Building and Engineering systems and processes
- Sound knowledge of Electrical, Mechanical, Electronic, Communication and Fire detection systems and philosophies used in large multi tenant buildings
- Electrical or Mechanical Engineering dégrée or équivalent.
- Government Certificate of Competency
- 5 years Senior Facilities Manager in Health Care / Manufacturing Environment as Engineering Manager
- Previous Experience in Steam Generation and Oil-fired boiler operation
- Previous General Machinery Regulation 2(1) appointee for (Premises).
- Management of sub-contractors and SLA’s
- Thorough understanding of LRA and IR Management
