We are seeking a results-oriented SAP Finance Consultant/Accountant to join our client's finance team for a fixed term project. The successful candidate will play a key support role in ensuring financial accuracy, improving reporting processes, and strengthening internal control practices. You'll work closely with the in-house team to review journal entries, validate reconciliations, provide coaching where needed, and drive timely delivery of month-end and financial reporting obligations.Key Responsibilities:

Conduct detailed reviews of journal entries, general ledger transactions, and account reconciliations in SAP.
Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with IFRS/GAAP.
Monitor, challenge, and support day-to-day financial operations across AR, AP, inventory, and fixed assets.
Proactively check in with finance team members, track progress, and help remove bottlenecks.
Provide hands-on SAP support for finance users, particularly during month-end close.
Support budgeting and forecasting processes, and assist with variance analysis and reporting.
Recommend and help implement improvements to SAP usage, process efficiency, and internal controls.
Liaise with auditors or external parties during financial reviews if required.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

BCom/BAcc or equivalent degree; Honours or Professional Qualification (SAICA/SAIPA/CIMA) preferred.
5+ years' experience in a finance role, including strong exposure to SAP FI/CO modules.
Background in manufacturing, supply chain, or industrial sectors highly advantageous.
Proven ability to navigate and interrogate SAP data, including financial reporting and transaction tracing.
Demonstrated experience in month-end close, reconciliations, and journals.
Strong eye for detail, ability to ask the right questions, and hold teams accountable to deadlines.
Comfortable working in fast-paced environments and managing stakeholders at multiple levels.
