- Negotiate and manage cleaning service provider contracts, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Conduct regular SLA audits and implement corrective strategies to ensure service consistency.
- Review and monitor contract performance, identifying risks or changes ahead of renewal periods.
- Develop policies and protocols for all cleaning-related disciplines.
- Plan, execute, and monitor cleaning and hygiene projects without delays.
- Manage project team performance, costs, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Assist with tender processes and procurement documentation.
- Oversee inspections and ensure compliance with agreed cleaning standards.
- Use PLANON® to log and monitor service delivery issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- Issue penalties or non-compliance reports where needed and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and protocols.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to maintain a safe working environment.
- Documentation and Reporting
- Compile monthly reports on performance, satisfaction, and cost metrics.
- Maintain organised records for audits and operational continuity.
- Serve as key liaison between the cleaning team and tenants, vendors, and internal departments.
- Address and resolve concerns efficiently, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
- Manage cleaning service budgets, monitor monthly expenses, and identify cost efficiencies.
- Approve vendor invoices, purchase orders, and stock consumption reports.
- Support audits and ensure cost recoveries from events and ad-hoc services.
- Coordinate cleaning support for events and ad-hoc tenant requirements.
- Attend planning meetings and oversee execution of event-related cleaning procedures.
- Prepare recon reports on event-related income and expenditure.
- Relevant degree or diploma in Business Management, Project Management or similar field.
- Strong knowledge of OHSA, LRA, ISO 9001 and industry-specific cleaning practices.
- Understanding of vendor contract management, SLAs, procurement, and financial systems.
- Proficient in MS Office and business applications.
- Time management, multitasking, and organisational skills.
- Tactical reasoning, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
- Leadership, project management, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
- Verbal and written communication, customer service focus, and safety awareness.
- Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in cleaning/facilities contract management.
- Exposure to large-scale commercial cleaning operations and quality management systems.
