SAICA Trainee

• Grade 12 with Mathematics and Accounting, studying towards a SAICA accredited degree in accounting

• Accounting Diploma advantageous

• Comprehensive understanding of accounting practices and procedures

• Excellent computer skills

• Experience with financial software (Pastel/Sage Online/Xero) and knowledge of Draftworx will be advantageous

• Fully bilingual: English and Afrikaans

• Valid driver's license

• Auditing and compilation of financial statements

• Independent review of financial statements

• Processing invoices and bank transactions

• Bank account and creditor/debtor reconciliation

• Preparation and submission of VAT201 returns, VAT reviews, and audits

• Preparation of year-to-date VAT reconciliation and management accounts

• Handling SARS VAT reviews and audits

• Keeping your SAICA assessment process up to date

• Excellent communication skills (telephone and email)

• Ability to communicate directly and professionally with clients

• Determined, self-motivated, and target driven

• Highly organised with strong attention to detailStrong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent system skills

• Ability to work to tight deadlines and targets

• Ability to handle large volumes of processing/queries under pressure

• Ability to work independently
