Industry: Retail & ManufacturingA well-established company in the retail and manufacturing sector is seeking a Cost and Financial Accountant to join their team and take ownership of key financial functions.This is a strategic and operational role—ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting and enjoys being at the center of financial decision-making.🔍 Key Responsibilities:
- 📊 Compile monthly financial reports and vet supporting schedules (local & foreign customers, suppliers, and inventory)
- 📈 Assist with budget preparation and forecasting
- 🔄 Maintain inter-company reconciliations
- 💰 Prepare and submit monthly VAT and tax returns
- 🧾 Run the monthly salary payroll and oversee the weekly wage payroll
- 🌍 Manage SARB applications for foreign transactions via banking platforms
- 💸 Lead cash flow planning and monitoring
- ✅ Ensure financial compliance with relevant regulations
- 🔐 Monitor and enhance internal financial controls
- 🏭 Analyze and manage production costing across manufacturing operations
- Strong understanding of cost accounting and production costing in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in both financial and operational accounting
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and confident in managing complex financial processes
- Background in retail or manufacturing finance is highly advantageous
