The company is the first Linked Investment Service Provider (LISP) in the South African investment industry to publish the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) rating of its own locally domiciled unit trusts. Their ESG ratings were formed through collaborating with MSCI, a global leader in investment research.They now seek a human capital business partner to join their team. You will report to the head of human capital. She has 6 reports. The team is very busy and well respected in the industry.If you aspire to work in a high performance, entrepreneurial and fast-growing wealth and investment management business, then we have an exciting opportunity for you!This role is suitable for appropriately qualified affirmative action candidates.JOB DESCRIPTION WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:
  • You will be required to be a key business partner providing strategic input on all the human capital areas with the core focus to drive organisational strategic people effectiveness;
  • You will be required to partner with senior management teams to build a high performing culture and change resilience;
  • You will be responsible for achieving results through own efforts, over periods of 3 months -1 years;
  • You will be required to develop and implement tactical and operational people plans in response to business and people challenges;
  • You will be required to partner with senior management teams to advise on people challenges and on how to improve performance of teams;
  • You will be required to advise on people priorities for the future, using insights from HC analytics and trends;
  • You will be required to manage the efficient implementation of the HC calendar;
  • You will be required to develop and implement tactical organisational development and effectiveness interventions to address short term business needs;
  • You will be required to advise senior management teams on improving employee engagement at all levels and on building a high-performance culture aligned to overall business plan;
  • You will be required to manage the implementation of the business talent and leadership plan for designated areas;
  • You will be required to advise management teams on how to respond to change efficiently and effectively;
  • You will be required to manage the adherence to HC controls and implement new controls as required;
  • You will be required to manage adherence to transformation plans;
  • You will be required to contribute to HC synergies;
  • You will be required to manage one or two HC practices across the entire business working and aligning closely with HCBP's and LM's.
CORE COMPETENCIES REQUIRED, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

CORE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • You have degree in HR at least - honours preferred;
  • You have a minimum of 5 years current, relevant HC generalist with strong change management and organisational design experience;
  • You are a senior HCBP with a good reputation;
  • You have seasoned experience working with general managers and senior management teams;
  • You have investments/ wealth management/ asset management experience – this would be a distinct advantage;
  • You are a self-starter and pro-active and will drive HC needs in client areas.
