Warehouse Assistant/Stock Controller - Brackenfell, Cape Town - R7 000 to R8 000 Per MonthManufacturer, Importer, Exporter and Distributer of handles, hinges, screens, window hinges, window and door hardware/accessories and measuring equipment seeks a Warehouse Assistant to receive, check, put away, count, pick and dispatch boxed goods of Aluminium Hardware for speedy delivery to customers.Responsibilities relating to Warehousing:Accurate picking, packing and dispatchingPreparation of transport documentationAll electronic and other warehouse equipment to be maintained, cleaned and kept in working orderReceiving stock and accurate checking of stock from SuppliersEnsure orders are dispatched efficientlyAssisting Savignac counter customers with accuracy and speedHousekeeping - Monitor of Warehouse shelves to ensure neat and tidiness at all timesStock from Suppliers and PTA branch to be checked and shelved with accuracy and speedResponsibilities relating to House Keeping:Clean bay regularlyEnsure that shelves are neat and cleanAll stock to have labelsResponsibilities relating to Stock Take:Monthly Stock take done with accuracy (No assumptions tolerated - Boxes to be opened to ensure accuracy when counting)Stock take Target - 2% Line variance and 0.015% Value varianceMonthly stock take preparations carried out as per head office regulationsDaily cycle counts done with accuracy and target for the week to be met*** Target - 7 lines each day = 35 lines per week per warehouse team memberAdministration:Ensure Supplier and Interbranch documentation is sent to Office Manager for filingCompliance to and enforcing all policies and procedures within area of responsibilityStock Management:Accurate counting of stock at all timesShelving of Stock in logical, neat and tidy manner according to set layout of the Warehouse as discussed with the ManagerWork with Manager in the identification and management of slow moving stock.Ensure FIFO method applied on all stockGeneral:Adherence to health and safety procedures at all times (Shelving of stock, Wearing of Personal Protective Equipment)Assisting with ad-hoc duties as per request from ManagementEnsure sound communications with all internal and external customers (Staff & Clients)Responsible for raising any circumstances/issues that will influence the management of the warehouse.Sense of urgencyAttention to detailExcellent communication skills verbal and writtenAble to follow instructionsHonest and reliableProblem-solvingBe able to recognize and report mistakesDeadline orientatedThorough and meticulousEnergetic and willingTeam playerSkills and Qualifications:Matric or equivalentProduct knowledgeProblem-solvingExperience with stock within a warehouseExperience with stock takesBe able to recognize mistakesBe able to follow instructionsPick and pack stock correctlyPhysically capable of moving around and lifting at least 25 KgsBe able to operate a forklift and have a forklift driver's licenseComputer literacyBe able to train new warehouse assistantsComprehend customer expectations and the costs and effects of failure to deliver on promises.Cooperate and communicate with other team membersDexterityEquipment UsageFitnessFlexibility and MobilityOrganizationSelf-motivationSpeed and PrecisionBe able to work within a team.Mail CV to
