Start Date: Within the next monthAbout the RoleWe are seeking a Legal & Compliance Associate to support our growing commercial and compliance function. The successful candidate will play a key role in contract drafting and review, ensuring compliance standards are met, and providing professional legal support to international clients. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney to gain exposure to corporate finance, M&A, restructuring, and cross-border expansion projects.Key Responsibilities
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts.
  • Provide legal and compliance support to both local and international clients.
  • Monitor contracts and projects for regulatory and corporate governance alignment.
  • Contribute to projects in M&A, corporate restructuring, and global expansion.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure seamless execution.
  • Uphold the highest levels of professionalism and client service.
Requirements
  • LLB or equivalent legal degree.
  • Admitted Attorney (South Africa).
  • Minimum of 2 years’ post-admission experience.
  • Excellent drafting and contract review skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and analytical ability.
  • Strong communication skills and professionalism in client engagement.
  • Ability to adapt and learn quickly, particularly in areas such as M&A;, corporate restructuring, and cross-border expansion projects.
  • Proactive, dependable, and committed to delivering high-quality legal work.
