RPO's client, a boutique investment consulting and management family-owned company is seeking a skilled and experienced Accountant to join a young team of professionals in Somerset West. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, doing monthly management accounts, processing invoices & payments, preparing VAT & SARS returns and upkeeping statutory records.Responsibilities:

Manage the day-to-day financial operations of the company, including bookkeeping, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data.
Monitor and analyze financial transactions, identifying any discrepancies or irregularities.
VAT and tax returns preparation and submission.
Assist with budget preparation and forecasting.
Processing daily payments.
Assist with the preparation of annual audits and tax filings.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions.
Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of professional accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
Proficiency in Sage Online is required.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
knowledge of South African tax laws and regulations
Experience in the financial services industry
