- Preparing and reconciling financial records up to trial balance.
- Managing bank reconciliations, petty cash, and intergroup transactions.
- Coordinating and processing local payments and reviewing creditors’ reconciliations.
- Posting monthly journals, including provisions, accruals, depreciation, shareholders’ interest, and tax.
- Preparing and reviewing balance sheet accounts and supporting schedules.
- Assisting with budgets, forecasts, and reporting on actual company performance.
- Reviewing the fixed asset register and managing depreciation.
- Ensuring tax compliance, including VAT and payroll tax reconciliations, and liaising with SARS when required.
- Compiling annual financial statements in line with accounting standards.
- Overseeing cash management to ensure operational requirements and timely supplier payments.
- BCom Financial / Management Accounting degree (completed SAIPA articles essential).
- Minimum 1 year post-article experience.
- SAIPA membership advantageous.
- Knowledge of Draftworx and EpiCor beneficial.
- Strong understanding of IFRS for SMEs, income tax, and VAT.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
