A leading Information Technology and Services company headquartered in Cape Town is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer with extensive expertise in Laravel, Vue.js, and associated technologies. This position is within a remote-first team that prioritizes autonomy, excellent written communication skills, and contemporary development methodologies. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of professional PHP development experience, including at least 2 years working with Laravel.DUTIES:
- Build and maintain robust, scalable web applications using Laravel and VueJS
- Collaborate asynchronously with a distributed team
- Write clean, maintainable, testable code
- Participate in code reviews and architecture planning
- Work from clearly defined tickets and documentation
- Contribute to improving our delivery processes and team tools
- 5+ years PHP experience
- 2+ years Laravel
- 2+ years VueJS
- 1+ year PostgreSQL
- 1+ year Docker (for local dev environments)
- 2+ years using Git for source control
- Experience using JetBrains PhpStorm
- Familiarity with Agile delivery processes (daily standups, working from defined tickets)
- Use of AI coding tools like GitHub Copilot, JetBrains AI Assistant (Junie), or Claude Code
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent written and verbal English
- Demonstrated success in remote, async-first environments
