
Electronic Workshop Technician

Under the general direction of the Electronic Workshop Manager, responsible for performing various Electronic workshop related tasks on a day to day basis. The objective is to perform assembly, installation, alteration, repair, fault finding, calibration and testing of electronic equipment.Main Responsibilities:
- Capable of Assembling, installing, repairing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electronic components and systems
- Capable of reading and understanding circuit drawings and basic circuit design
- Capable of Sourcing or fabricating replacement parts for electronic equipment
- Must maintain and abide by workmanship standards
- Liaising with Manager and clients to discuss work schedules and time
- Complete all relevant documentation related to the test and repair of products
- Generate feedback to the department head concerning the quality, production processes and test procedures
- Highlight technical problems encountered and suggest possible modifications to the products
- Ensure proper use and safekeeping of tools
- Control test equipment and tools
- Collection and transfer of data for statistical purposes
- Liaise with clients regarding technical support
- Responsible for handling production orders that fail QC and see that they are repaired to standard as required
- Grade 12
- National Diploma in Electronic communication Applied Electronics/Instrumentation equivalent
- 3 Years experience in electronic repairs
- Unendorsed legal drivers license
- Must be willing to travel from time to time
- Excellent communication skills (English)
- Planning and Organizing skills
- SAP and CRM
- PC skills Microsoft Office Suite
- Flexibility
- Able to build relations with customers
- Practical problem-solving ability
- Self-motivated and be able to work with a team
